The Friends Red Carpet Ball on Friday evening was a wonderful night of fizz, fun, and fundraising!

Almost 150 parents gathered in the splendour of the Guildhall, welcomed by the exceptional musical talents of our students. As guests enjoyed canapés and bubbles, the girls sang and played film-themed music, setting the tone for a fantastic night ahead. Everyone then head to the ballroom and after a short speech from Mrs Duncan, all tucked into their delicious starters.

A fun game of ‘Red or Black’ followed and the wine flowed and the laughter rang out as the rest of the meal continued. As desserts were served, auctioneer extraordinaire, Addison Gelpey, took to the floor to begin the hugely entertaining fundraising auction. The generosity of all bidders was astounding, and with prizes ranging from signed rugby shirts and a ski holiday to drum lessons with Mr Bradbury and theatre tickets to the Theatre Royal Bath, there was something for everyone to get excited about! At the end of the live auction, and the accompanying silent auction, over £12,000 had been raised for the Music School & Recording Studio Appeal. An incredible total!

The guests then jumped out of their seats and on to the dance floor, boogying the night away to The Vegas, our brilliant live band.

This was a truly brilliant event, and we cannot thank the Friends of RHS enough for all the hard work that went into organising it. Special thanks go to Mel Vance, Steph Higgins, Lu Scott, all those who donated and bought auction prizes and all those who came to this wonderful evening.
