On Monday morning, four very special awards were presented to girls from the senior school at our annual Alumnae Awards Presentation Assembly. The awards were presented by special guests Jane Robb, Chair of our Governing Body, Sarah King, Chair or our Alumnae Committee and alumnae Claire Sykes and Anne Holloway.

Francesca Orr spoke briefly about the importance of our alumnae network and the many ways the alumnae continue to support us and to be actively involved in the life of our school, whether it be supporting our recent Music Centre appeal or giving personal careers advice to members of the 6^th form. We also heard about the inspiring achievements of some our alumnae themselves over the past year or so, and about some of the exciting things members of our alumnae network have recently been doing. This all brought back to the forefront of out minds what in impressive group of women they are of whom we should be very proud.

Claire Sykes and Anne Holloway, both alumnae of Bath High and friends of Sarah Williams, reminded the girls of the special meaning behind the ‘Red Squirrel Award’ and the importance of kindness and friendship. Francesca Orr then spoke about the inspirational Hilary Williams, alumna and former chair of the Alumnae Committee, telling the assembled staff and students about her remarkable life, her commitment to equal rights for women and her dedication to our school.
