U13 Hockey
U13A & B vs KES
On Monday the U13A & B teams played a match against KES at home. The As demonstrated some lovely plays bringing the ball from defence all the way up to goal, however a few unforced errors provided KES with a chance to turn over our centre passes giving them the crucial goals. There was some excellent defending and lovely feeds into the attacking circle and the girls took on the guidance given in the breaks, however, it wasn’t quite enough. The final score was 12-29, a score which truly didn’t reflect the play on the court, with the teams far more evenly matched than the score suggests. Well done to all the girls but in particular Evie Butterfield who was voted Defensive Player of the Match, and Lucy Smith who was voted Attacking Player of the Match.
The U13Bs had a close match. They worked hard implementing many of the tactics practiced in training and showing some lovely play throughout the court. A series of fantastic interceptions from our defence, especially Eloisa Lunn and Elly Boardman made scoring difficult for KES. This partnered with good attacking play from Martha Frank, Charlotte Hutcheson and Sophia Skidmore meant we were able to turn over a couple of vital centre passes. In the end, it was a well-earned win with a final score of 8-4. Well done to all the girls but in particular Eloisa Lunn who was voted Defensive Player of the Match, and Charlotte Hutcheson who was voted Attacking Player of the Match.
The Senior 2nd and 3rd VII played KES yesterday in two very close matches. The 2nds won 20 – 18 with Alex John as Player and the 3rds drew 23 – 23 with Diana Kawonga getting Player. The 1sts will play in the Charity match on the 28th March at 7pm.

U12B vs KES

This was a closely contested match with the scores even at half time. However the final half saw KES take the lead and despite chasing hard the RHS U12B team were unable to make up the deficit.
Attacking Player of the Match was Lola McIntyre and defender of the match was Jemima Lawrie with coaches player Izzie Wilkins for helping chase down the scoreline with some sound shooting alongside excellent shooting from Lola.
In the U12B team were Eva Thomas, Hannah Elliott, Amy Richards, Erin Wilkinson, Jemima Lawrie, Abella Duncan, Eva Helly-Osborne, Lola McIntyre, Izzie Wilkins.

U15B vs Prior Park – Netball – Monday 11 March 2019
Result 6-10 (L)
Team: Lily Norman, Jess Ness, Eliza Hyde, Jenny Lin, Aisha McIsaac, Eliana Woosnam, Daisy Barrow, Ella Firmstone, Emmaline Feast-Michael
This match opened with a very closely matched 1st quarter, the scoreline just 2-2 at the end of the period of play. The middle two quarters saw the goal line slip in Prior’s Park favour before the RHSB U15B rallied to chase the lead in the final quarters. Great mid court play from Jenny gave her Player of the Match, with special mention to Jess, Lily and Eliza for accurate shooting under pressure, and hard-work in defence from Eliana and Ella also deserving of commendation.
U13A vs Monkton Combe – Netball Wednesday 13 March 2019

Team: Lily Bailey-Parkin, Evie Butterfield, Jess Lewis, Jessica Knechtli, India Vance, Lucy Smith, Francesca Sill, Lottie Silverton, Betsey Gelpey and Charlotte Hutcheson
The U13A team combined well as a unit and Monkton really had no opportunity to answer. The U13A game flowed with quick passes, driving into space and accurate shooting as the key elements of play for the U13A. Francesca received Player of the Match for her accuracy under the post along with Lucy Smith for excellent mid court play, and the whole team worthy of mention in this report for their part.
U13B vs Monkton Combe – Netball – Wednesday 13 March 2019
Result 10-0 (W)
Team: Imogen Oliphant , Mya Harvey, Adriana Crespo, Elly Boardman, Holly Lancaster, Coco Hiatt, Betsey Gelpey, Eloisa Lunn, Jessica Knechtli
The U13B worked hard to ensure they out passed Monkton, using the width of the court well and utilising space. Accurate shooting and good teamwork at recycling the ball along with good rate of turnover saw the team come away with a well-deserved win. Player of the Match awarded to Adriana Crespo for excellent work in midcourt and Coco Hiatt for determination under the posts.
